Balfolk Utrecht – Bal met ‘Naragonia’ en ‘Diatocello’

Mededeling: Helaas is één van de muzikanten van Diatocello ziek geworden, maar we hebben het grote geluk dat Simone Bottasso zijn agenda om wilde gooien om in plaats daarvan voor ons te komen spelen!

We trappen dit jaar af met de nostalgisch bekende Naragonia, en gaat-nog-nostalgisch-worden Diatocello. We beginnen de avond met Diatocello, bestaand uit accordeoniste Amélie Denarié (bekend van Les Zéoles) en de jazzcellist Mathieu Mitéran. Dus verwacht veel zachte, maar krachtig ritmische variaties. En we sluiten de avond af met Naragonia, twee accordeonisten uit België die prachtig muziek gaan maken in een extra lang optreden van 2 uur.

Voorlopig zijn we deels uitverkocht!

Op het moment zijn alle tickets voor énkel het bal uitverkocht. Doordat we de workshop pas later konden aankondigen, hebben we nu nog een paar plekken gereserveerd voor de mensen die graag naar de workshop én het bal willen komen. Dus als je het echt niet wilt missen, schrijf je voor beiden in.

Als je je enkel voor het bal aanmeldt, kom je op de wachtlijst te staan. De vorige keer kwamen daar nog veel plekken voor vrij en als niet alle workshopplekken verkopen, komen die ook vrij. Dus het loont zeker om je snel voor de wachtlijst aan te melden als je niet ook aan de workshop mee wilt doen!

Reserveren, Prijzen en Voorwaarden
Je reserveert een kaartje voor het bal, bal + workshop, of workshop. Je kiest aan de deur welke tarief je wil betalen. Voor reserveren, prijzen en voorwaarden zie boven voor de link naar Google Forms.

Let op! Je betaalt contant aan de kassa bij de deur. Later in de avond verplaatst de kassa naar de bar. Mocht je geen contant bij je hebben, dan kun je met de Albert Heijn aan de Voorstraat pinnen. Bij ons kun je helaas niet pinnen.

Fair Trade (Het Galette Prijsje)
Vind jij het belangrijk dat docenten en muzikanten eerlijk betaald worden? En, wil je dat Balfolk Utrecht kwaliteit levert? Neem dan Fair Trade! Want, goede docenten en muzikanten verdienen meer dan basic theebiscuits bij hun koffie. Verleid ze naar onze events met galettes. Daarom Fair Trade 🙂

Eten en Drinken
We hebben een garderobe waar je je spullen kunt achterlaten. Laat je spullen niet op de banken liggen. Er is een Potluck. Iedereen neemt eten mee, die we dan met zijn allen delen. We zorgen dat er een aantal tafels staan met labeltjes: vegetarisch, vegan, vis en niet-vis vlees. Aangezien er balfolkers zijn met allergieën (noten, gluten, lactose, garnalen etc.) raden we aan om een ingrediëntenlijstje bij je eten te zetten.

Neem je eigen bord, bestek en opscheplepels mee, die zijn namelijk niet aanwezig in de Moira. En, het is lief als je na de potluck je eigen afval opruimt en/of weggooit. We zorgen voor een aantal vuilnisbakken.

De Moira heeft een bar waar je drankjes kunt bestellen.

Richtlijnen
Wij willen graag dat iedereen bij Balfolk zich vrij voelt om zichzelf te zijn en zich veilig voelt om aan te geven wat ze nodig hebben. We vinden het daarom belangrijk dat iedereen die naar onze bals komt op de hoogte is van een aantal richtlijnen waar we ons aan houden. Zo maken we de community voor iedereen zo veilig en fijn mogelijk. De richtlijnen voor onze bals: Dansrichtlijnen.
Alle balfolkevenementen die je op balfolk.nl kunt vinden, moeten zich in principe aan deze algemene richtlijnen houden.

Locatie
Het bal vindt plaats in de Moira, een fijne zaal in het centrum van Utrecht. Het adres is Wolvenstraat 10 (aan het einde van de Plompetorengracht). Je moet de blauwe deur hebben aan de rechterkant. Dan kom je via de trap naar beneden in de zaal.

Announcement: Sadly one of the musicians of Diatocello fell ill, but we are very lucky that Simone Bottasso was okay with changing his plans and come to play for us instead!

We kick off this year with the nostalgically familiar Naragonia, and Diatocello that is going to be nostalgic familiar. We start the evening with Diatocello, consisting of accordionist Amélie Denarié (known from Les Zéoles) and jazz cellist Mathieu Mitéran. So, expect a lot of soft, but powerful rhythmic variations. And, we close the evening with Naragonia, two accordionists from Belgium who will make beautiful music in an extra long performance of 2 hours.

At the moment all the tickets for only the ball are sold out. Because we could only announce the workshop a bit later than the ball we reserved a couple of spots for the people who would like to join the workshop ánd the ball. If you really do not want to miss the event, sign up for both.

If you only sign up for the ball, you will be put on the waiting-list. The last time a lot of spots did become available for people on the waiting-list. Also when not all the workshop-spots will sell, those will also become available again for ball-goers, so it might work to still sign up for the waiting-list if you do not want to join the workshop!

Reservation, Prices and Conditions
You reserve a ticket for the ball, ball + workshop, or workshop. You choose at the door which rate you want to pay. For reservations, prices and conditions see above for the link to Google Forms.

NB! You pay cash at the door. Later in the evening, the cash register moves to the bar. If you do not have cash with you, there is an ATM at Albert Heijn on Voorstraat. There is no pin option at our cash register.

Fair Trade (Het Galette Prijsje)
Do you think it is important that teachers and musicians are paid fairly? And, do you want Balfolk Utrecht to deliver quality? Pay Fair Trade! Because, good teachers and musicians earn more than basic tea biscuits with their coffee. Seduce them to our events with galettes. Therefore Fair Trade 🙂

Food and Drinks
We have a cloakroom where you can leave your belongings. Do not leave your belongings on the couches. There’s a Potluck. Everyone brings food, which we then share with all of us. We ensure that there are a number of tables with labels: vegetarian, vegan, fish and non-fish meat. Since there are balfolkers with allergies (nuts, gluten, lactose, shrimp, etc.), we recommend adding an ingredients list to your food.

Bring your own plate, cutlery and serving spoons, these are not available in the Moira. And, it’s nice if you clean up and / or throw away your own waste after the potluck. We provide a number of garbage cans.

The Moira has a bar where you can order drinks.

Guidelines
We want everyone at Balfolk to feel free to be themselves and feel safe to express their needs. We therefore think it is important that everyone who comes to our balls is aware of a number of guidelines that we adhere to. In this way we make the community as safe and pleasant as possible for everyone. The guidelines for our balls: Guidelines.
In principle, all balfolk events that you can find on balfolk.nl must adhere to these general guidelines.

Location
The ball takes place in the Moira, a nice hall in the center of Utrecht. The address is Wolvenstraat 10 (at the end of Plompetorengracht). Take the blue door on the right and go down the stairs into the hall.
